11 December 2024 (Legazpi City) — The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Secretariat in Albay paid a courtesy visit to Jail Senior Superintendent Elene B. Rocamora, PhD, Regional Director of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Regional Office V. The visit aimed to discuss the collaboration between BJMP and the LAB in facilitating the amnesty application process for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).
During the meeting, JSSupt Rocamora expressed her full support for the National Amnesty Commission’s mandate to assist Former Rebels (FRs) seeking a second chance through government amnesty. She emphasized BJMP’s commitment to this initiative, highlighting its significance in strengthening the campaign against insurgency.
The LAB Secretariat extended heartfelt gratitude to JSSupt Rocamora for her warm welcome and willingness to engage with LAB Albay’s initiatives.
