11 December 2024 (Cotabato City) — The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Secretariat in Cotabato City paid a courtesy visit to Police Colonel Michael John C. Mangahis, the newly installed Cotabato City Police Director.

The discussion centered on the government’s amnesty program, updates on the number of applications received, and the roles and responsibilities of the LAB members. PCOL Mangahis will serve as the alternate representative of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the LAB.

PCOL Mangahis assured the LAB of the PNP Cotabato City’s full support for President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.’s amnesty program, highlighting its importance as a significant step toward national healing and peacebuilding.

“The program is very commendable, but the amnesty applications should be processed properly,” said PCOL Mangahis, who emphasized that the LAB would strive to fulfill its mandate effectively.
