13 January 2024 (Cagayan de Oro City) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Secretariat in Cagayan de Oro City, together with LAB Chairperson Regional Prosecutor Merlynn Barola-Uy, attended the First Quarter Meeting of the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force (RIATF) Region X with the Provincial/Highly Urbanized City (HUC) Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) Committees, Task Force Balik-Loob, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Program Management Office at the DILG Regional Office.

The LAB Secretariat presented to the body updates on the status of amnesty applications received and the progress made toward ensuring that completed applications will efficiently move on to the next phase of deliberations as soon as possible. Furthermore, the LAB sought the assistance of partner agencies in strengthening information drive efforts and maximizing the exposure of the amnesty program through its inclusion in social media, on-site campaigns, and other reintegration initiatives of their respective offices.

Regional Prosecutor Barola-Uy provided insights on the cases included in the grant of amnesty, detailing how each case is carefully evaluated and how their unique nature is considered during deliberations until the final recommendation and resolution of the LAB are submitted to the National Amnesty Commission (NAC) En Banc.
