𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐦𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞

03 February 2025 – The Local Amnesty Board Secretariat in Catbalogan, together with representatives from the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU), met with top officials of the Samar Provincial Police Office, led by Provincial Director Police Colonel Antonietto Eric A. Mendoza, to discuss the rollout of the amnesty program for former rebels currently in custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The meeting focused on the PNP’s crucial role in validating and vetting applications from former rebels, particularly those under their care. The participants were likewise furnished with essential documents, including copies of the NAC’s Implementing Rules and Regulation and Rules of Procedure.

Also present in the meeting were other PNP Officials, namely PSSg Michael Angelo Douda, PGT Nelson Lapeciros, PLTCOL Alex Dang-Aoen, PLTCOL Reynaldo Rollo, PSSg Gerald Laberon, PSMS Judel Grata, PLTCOL Michael Jude Dotingco, and PCpl Paul Fenellere.

As a symbol of PNP’s continuous collaborative engagements with the NAC, a second round of orientation will be held to further educate their ground personnel on the Amnesty program.
