𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐦𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐦𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟏𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 “𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨” 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧

09 January 2025 (Northern Samar) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Catbalogan City, Samar, continued its outreach program to orient peacebuilders and former rebels about the amnesty program.

The activity was held at the 19th Infantry “Commando” Battalion headquarters in Barangay Opong, Catubig, Northern Samar, thirty-eight (38) applicants voluntarily attended and took their oath of allegiance to the government. The oath-taking was facilitated by Barangay Chairperson Abner T. Medenilla.

LtCol. Marvin A Maraggun, Commanding Officer of 19IB, and Maj Joebert B Sellorin, Executive Officer, along with Barangay Officials, the Philippine National Police (PNP) represented by Police Master Sergeant Dionne Caray, and the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) Special Project Teams (SPTs), assisted the applicants in completing their forms. The LAB Secretariat conducted a thorough review of each applicant’s narrative and the required documents to ensure compliance with the program’s initial acceptance criteria.
