27 December 2024 (Baguio City) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Secretariat in Baguio City conducted a courtesy visit to Jail Senior Superintendent Atty. Kenneth Bid-ing, Regional Director of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
During the visit, the LAB Secretariat presented a comprehensive overview of the government’s amnesty program, including its objectives, implementation strategies, and expected outcomes. They emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between agencies to ensure the program’s success.
Regional Director Bid-ing expressed his full support for the initiative, commending the LAB Secretariat for their efforts in promoting peace and reconciliation. He also assured the BJMP’s commitment to assisting in the program’s implementation, particularly in facilitating processes involving persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) under their jurisdiction.
