29 January 2025 (Baguio City) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Baguio was invited by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity – Cordillera Administrative Region (OPAPRU-CAR) to participate in the Cascading and Orientation of Local Peace Engagement.
The activity, held in Flora, Apayao, was led by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the 17th Infantry “Do or Die” Battalion Philippine Army (IBPA), together with the Apayao Police Provincial Office (APPO), Local Government Unit (LGU) of Flora, and other stakeholders.
The LAB in Baguio participated remotely and was able to give a brief orientation on the government’s Amnesty program. As a recently-established arm of the National Amnesty Commission, the LAB in Baguio took this opportunity to further establish its presence in the region, with the aim of attracting more applicants to take advantage of the Amnesty program.
