𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐦𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐤 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 – 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐗𝐈 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

27 December 2024 (Davao City) – The National Amnesty Commission (NAC), through its Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Davao City, participated in the 4th Quarter Full Council Meeting convened by the Joint Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (JRTF-ELCAC) XI.

Among the attendees were Secretary Leo Tereso A. Magno, Chairperson of the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) and Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security (CORDS) for Region XI; Undersecretary Ernesto C. Torres Jr., Executive Director of the NTF-ELCAC National Secretariat; DILG XI Assistant Regional Director Charissa T. Guerta; Major General Allan D. Hambala, Commanding General of the 10th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army; Police Colonel Renante Cabico, representing the Police Regional Office XI; Director Elisa Evangelista of OPAPRU LCT-FISU; and representatives of all RTF-ELCAC member agencies. Atty. Rizal Thaddeus Acas, the NAC Legal Director for Amnesty Operations, represented the NAC.

During the meeting, member agencies presented their respective reports and updates from their RTF-ELCAC clusters. The LAB Davao provided updates on the ongoing amnesty applications from the region. Atty. Acas shared details regarding the issuance of Safe Conduct Passes to amnesty applicants and the overall status of applications submitted to the NAC.

A significant highlight of the meeting was the recognition awarded to the LAB Davao. A plaque was presented to honor its successful efforts in supporting the implementation of programs aimed at Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict and sustaining the insurgency-free status of the Davao Region.

With this recognition, the LAB Davao reaffirms its commitment to fulfilling its mandate for Fiscal Year 2025.
