Sagay City, Negros Occidental – July 8, 2024 – The 79th Infantry Battalion facilitated its groundbreaking Role as the first Unit in the Negros Island Region to process the 1st Batch of Applicants for the Government Amnesty Program. This significant initiative marks a milestone in the Region’s efforts to foster peace and unity, offering a brand new beginning for those seeking to reintegrate into the mainstream society. The said activity was held at Bacolod City College at Brgy Taculing, Bacolod City and was facilitated in partnership with the 303rd “Brown Eagle” Brigade and the Local Amnesty Board of Bacolod City.
