24 October, 2025 (Nagbukel, Ilocos Sur) β The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of La Union, in collaboration with the Municipality of Nagbukel, Ilocos Sur, the Nagbukel Municipal Police Station, and the OPAPRU Special Project Team, successfully conducted an Amnesty Orientation and Application activity at Brgy. Taleb, Nagbukel. Brgy. Councilor Raul Dofredo and personnel from the Nagbukel Municipal Police Station were on hand to assist and ensure the safety of participants. A total of twenty-two (22) former CPP-NPA-NDF members seized the opportunity to reintegrate into society through the National Amnesty Commission. The LAB Secretariat led the orientation, explaining the amnesty process and application procedures. This initiative underscores the governmentβs commitment to providing former rebels with a second chance to build peaceful and productive lives.
