former rebels seeking amnesty were carefully reviewed. Facilitated by the LAB Secretariat under PPO III Ronald Laid, the session was managed smoothly and professionally.
The Board members, Hon. Alfred Romualdez, Police Colonel Noelito Getigan, Colonel Rico Amaro, Regional Prosecutor Irwin Maraya, Atty. Sherry Jane Gaspay, and Atty. Ivy Ann Carba, each took time to discuss the applications in detail. They examined each applicantβs personal background, reasons for joining the rebellion, and their current plans to reintegrate into society. Every case received thoughtful consideration to ensure that granting amnesty would support a genuine path toward peace and a fresh start.
By holding this second meeting and evaluating each case thoroughly, the Tacloban Board demonstrates its strong commitment to fairness, peace, and the successful reintegration of former rebels who are determined to move forward. The boardβs diligent work and the involvement of the Secretariat show how serious the government is about turning promises into real support, not just words.
