02 December 2025 (Bulan, Sorsogon) β The Municipality of Bulan, Sorsogon marked another significant milestone today as 38 former rebels, who are also amnesty applicants, formally received their Safe Conduct Passes. These documents affirm their ongoing amnesty applications and ensure their protection from arrest for any active warrants related to politically motivated cases.
This activity was made possible through the efforts of the 22nd Infantry Battalion, led by LTC Erman Ryan C. Dalope INF (GSC), Commanding Officer, in close coordination with the Local Government Unit of Bulan under the leadership of Hon. Romeo A. Gordola, Municipal Mayor. The LGU also extended support by distributing food packs to the beneficiaries.
Also present to demonstrate institutional support were Atty. Annalyn Sherry F. Hibo-Gamboa, Vice Chairperson of LAB Albay; PCol Alex C. Daniel, Provincial Director of the Sorsogon Police Provincial Office; PLTCOL Barry Gibb Zorilla, Force Commander of Bulan, 2PMFC; and PLT Jeffrey Gidoc, Deputy Chief of Police, underscoring the Philippine National Policeβs commitment to sustaining peace and recognizing the Safe Conduct Pass recipients. Barangay officials from across Bulan were likewise in attendance.
The Guest of Honor and Speaker for the event was BGen Jose Ricky A. Laniog, Commander of the 903rd Brigade, Philippine Army.
These collaborative efforts among the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police, local government units, and partner agencies reaffirm the shared commitment to ensuring that the Municipality of Bulan and the entire Bicol Region remains a safe, peaceful, and thriving place to live.
