17 October 2024 (Davao City) β A delegation from the Office of Senator Robin Padilla, led by Chief of Staff Atty. Rudolf Philip Jurado, along with Atty. Mary Denzyll R. Bunal and Jenny Rose Manalo, visited the Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Davao City to discuss the progress of the governmentβs amnesty program and explore how Senator Padilla can support the initiative through legislative action.
The LAB Secretariat provided updates on their efforts in receiving and processing amnesty applications from former rebels and raised concerns regarding challenges in the application process. Atty. Jurado assured the LAB that their office would work on finding solutions to address these concerns.
The LAB Secretariat also recommended collaboration between Senator Padilla’s office and the National Amnesty Commission (NAC) to strengthen legislative support for the governmentβs amnesty program.
Atty. Jurado reaffirmed Senator Robin Padillaβs full commitment to supporting the NACβs initiatives and the broader effort to achieve lasting peace in the country.
