15 to 17 March 2025 (Cotabato City) – Atty. Rizal Thaddeus Acas, Head of the Commission Secretariat of the National Amnesty Commission (NAC), explained the Amnesty Process to the members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) during a training-activity organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) entitled “Training of Trainers on Community Human Rights and Amnesty Awareness Raising Program” in Cotabato City.

The activity aimed to connect with the MILF members; facilitate orientation and assistance on a community-wide level; and bolster the call for applications of amnesty among eligible members of the group.

As one of the resource persons, Atty. Acas also discussed the NAC’s crucial role in the government’s amnesty program. He also shared the current guidelines and requirements for amnesty application with the participants.
