20 March 2025 (Iligan City) – The NAC, as the government-mandated body that handles the acceptance and processing of amnesty applications, was invited by the DILG – Region X to participate in an Executive Forum regarding the region’s Amnesty Program for ex-members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front at Camp Bilal, Sitio Kora-kora, Tamparan, Munai.

The NAC was represented by its Head of the Commission Secretariat, Atty. Rizal Thaddeus Acas, and LAB–Cagayan de Oro, led by Ms. Abigail F. Lai. Atty. Acas and Ms. Lai discussed the NAC’s mandate, its role in the amnesty program, and the current amnesty application process.

Committed to achieving long-term peace, NAC continues to support government initiatives that facilitate reconciliation and help former rebels reintegrate into society by restoring their political and civil rights through the amnesty program.
