26 September, 2025 (Koronadal City, South Cotabato) – The National Amnesty Commission (NAC), through the Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Koronadal, participated in the 2025 South Cotabato Former Rebels and Former Violent Extremists (FR&FVE) Summit held at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center, Koronadal City.

The activity featured a Service Caravan for Peace and Development spearheaded by the Provincial Government of South Cotabato, which aimed to deliver essential government services to Former Rebels (FRs), Former Violent Extremists (FVEs), and other stakeholders within the province.

Peace Program Officer III Mariannie B. Uy of the Local Amnesty Board – Koronadal provided a brief discussion on the Safe Conduct Pass (SCP) and Provisional Safe Conduct Pass (PSCP), emphasizing their significance in ensuring the safe movement and legal protection of qualified individuals. She also led the ceremonial issuance of Safe Conduct Passes to thirty-six (36) Former Rebels, which served as one of the major highlights of the summit.

Furthermore, the Local Amnesty Board of Koronadal, led by Peace Program Officer III Mariannie B. Uy and Administrative Assistant III Lea Mae Toroctocon, facilitated the on-site intake of amnesty applications, receiving a total of seven (7) applications. This process was successfully carried out with the assistance of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) – Surallah, South Cotabato, headed by Atty. Ana Marie N. Moncera, Public Attorney III, who provided legal assistance and facilitated the subscription of the required documents for amnesty applications.

The participation of the NAC in this event underscores its continuous commitment to the promotion of peace, reconciliation, and reintegration efforts in support of the National Government’s peace agenda.
