𝐍𝐀𝐂 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐚

09 August 2024 (Isabela) – The National Amnesty Commission (NAC), led by its Chairperson Leah Tanodra-Armamento, visited Atty. Noel Manuel R. Lopez, the Provincial Administrator of Isabela.

The primary agenda of this meeting is to discuss the establishment and composition of a Local Amnesty Board (LAB) within the Province of Isabela. The LAB will act as the frontline office for the NAC, focusing on receiving and processing amnesty applications, particularly from former members of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) and their affiliated organizations. During the visit, Chairperson Tanodra-Armamento provided a brief overview of the NAC’s mandate. This was followed by a discussion led by Atty. Lopez on the situation of Former Rebels (FRs) in the province, especially the FR surrenderees who have benefited from programs provided by the Isabela Government.

Additionally, Atty. Lopez, along with Atty. Analou Villeza, offered their support for any assistance the NAC might need. The NAC expressed their appreciation for the Local Government’s hospitality and its dedication to the Government’s amnesty program.
