26-27 March 2024 (Pasay City) โ As part of the 2024 National Womenโs Month celebration, the National Amnesty Commission held a 2-day Gender Sensitivity Training at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City, through face-to-face and via Zoom. The activity aimed to promote awareness and sensitivity on gender-related issues and concerns, which affects relationships at various levels within the family, workplace, and community at large; thus, empowering NAC officials and employees โ both the male and female sex.
The speaker, Dr. Rowena S. Navera, explained five core topics: (1) the history of gender and development, (2) gender role socialization, (3) gender bias (roles and work spaces), (4) gender division of labor, (5) and gender, power and development.
