Today marks a significant step toward our nation’s pursuit of lasting peace and unity.

The National Amnesty Commission (NAC) warmly welcomes the decision of His Excellency, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., to grant amnesty to nine (9) individuals who have sincerely committed to a peaceful life through reintegration and reconciliation.

More than a legal action, this decision reflects the government’s firm belief in second chances — in the power of choosing peace over conflict, and in the importance of restoring civil and political rights to those who have made genuine efforts to return to mainstream society.

To the nine recipients, we commend your courage and sincerity in returning to the fold. To our partners, thank you for your unwavering support in making this possible. And to every Filipino, may this serve as a reminder that reconciliation is not only possible — it is essential, and peace will always be worth striving for.
