27 March 2025 (Davao City) – The National Amnesty Commission (NAC), through its

Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Davao City, participated in the 1st Quarter Full Council

Meeting of the Joint Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict

(JRTF-ELCAC) XI.

The meeting was presided by Secretary Leo Tereso A. Magno, Chairperson of the

Mindanao Development Authority and Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and

Security for Region XI. Other officials in attendance were DILG XI Regional Director

Abdullah V. Matalam, Head of the JRTF-ELCAC XI Secretariat; Major General Allan D.

Hambala, Commanding General of the 10th Infantry Division, Philippine Army; Police

Brigadier General Leon Victor Z. Rosete, representing the Police Regional Office XI;

Colonel Hansel Marantan, Director of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO); Director

Elisa Evangelista of OPAPRU LCT-FISU; and representatives from all RTF-ELCAC

member agencies.

During the meeting, member agencies presented updates and reports on their

respective initiatives. The LAB Davao Secretariat provided insights into the status of

amnesty applications in the region, including updates on submissions to the NAC and

upcoming targets for the next quarter.

The National Amnesty Commission reaffirmed its commitment to expediting the review

of amnesty applications for endorsement to the Office of the President. As part of this

ongoing effort, LAB Davao remains steadfast in fulfilling its mandate for Fiscal Year

2025, ensuring that the amnesty process continues to contribute to peace and security

in the region.
