21 February 2025 (Pualas, Lanao del Sur) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Cagayan De Oro joined the Information, Education & Communication Campaign organized by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity, through the GPH Peace Implementing Panel for the GPH-MILF Peace Process, GPH Coordinating Committee on the Cessation of Hostilities, and the GPH Ad Hoc Joint Action Group held in the Municipality of Pualas, Lanao del Sur on February 21, 2025.

The campaign highlighted developments on the implementation of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro, discussions on ceasefire protocols and the government’s amnesty program. In addition to reaffirming its commitment to enduring peace in the Bangsamoro region, the communication campaign sought to improve inter-agency cooperation, collaboration, and confidence building with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

The LAB Secretariat gave an orientation and initiated discussions on the Amnesty Application Procedure, the status of received applications, and other relevant updates on the Amnesty Program. The LAB was also assisted by the United Nations Development Programme, as part of its continuing campaign to support the MILF under its ‘Project Rebuild’.

Attending the event were former combatants of the MILF, as well as representatives from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and members of the Pualas Local Government Unit.
