12 December 2024 (La Union) — The National Amnesty Commission (NAC), represented by Atty. Rizal Thaddeus Acas and the LAB La Union Secretariat, participated in the Regional Intelligence Committee meeting organized by the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA).

The meeting, chaired by Police Brigadier General Angeles B. Geñorga, Jr., and attended by Mr. Romeo Yoribio, Jr. and a NICA Region 1 representative, served as a platform to discuss collaborative efforts on intelligence and security matters.

During the session, the LAB La Union collaborated with LAB Cagayan de Oro to deliver a presentation on the amnesty program and its process flow. They emphasized the strict adherence to the Rules of Procedure (ROP) and Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) for processing amnesty applications. Atty. Acas also addressed attendees’ questions and clarified issues related to implementing the amnesty process.

The meeting gathered Regional Directors and representatives from key agencies, including the Department of Labor and Employment, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, PNP Maritime Police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government. The event served as a vital venue for exchanging intelligence to promote regional peace, stability, and national security.
