𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐦𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐦𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐚𝐧, 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫

The National Amnesty Commission (NAC), through its Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Catbalogan, represented by Ms. Jazmine Odyssa B. Lutao, conducted an orientation and initial acceptance of amnesty applications at the 87th Infantry (Hinirang) Battalion in San Jose de Buan, Samar. The activity was supported by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) AMU Eastern Visayas and the Special Project Team (SPT). Present at the event were representatives from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), the Municipal Local Government Operations Office (MLGOO), and the Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs), including the Barangay Chairpersons of San Jose de Buan.

Attendees included Mary Shalyn D. Lim-Ang (MLGOO, DILG), Maria Elda P. Sabandeja (MSWDO Staff, MSWDO), Barangay Chairperson Salve N. Dacles, Lieutenant Colonel Francis T. Rugayan INF (GSC), PA (87IB Commanding Officer), Captain Reymaryt N. Cortiguerra (CMO Officer, 87IB), Private Angela M. Cayunda (CMO Clerk, 87IB), PFC Sharagere E. Custona (RBS, 87IB), Corporal Kint A. Tuanda (Public Affairs NCO, 87IB), and Amnesty Applicants.

Ms. Lutao delivered an in-depth introduction to NAC’s Amnesty Program and addressed questions from participants during the open forum. Afterward, all applicants took an Oath of Allegiance, completed the application forms, and underwent the interview process. The LAB Catbalogan has received twenty-three (23) applications and is aiming for thirty-two (32) applications in a similar event scheduled for December.
