The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Davao City remains committed to processing amnesty applications from former members of the Communist Party of the Philippines/New People’s Army/National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF).

On September 5, 9, and 23, 2024, LAB Davao received a total of 39 new amnesty applications through the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity’s (OPAPRU) Local Conflict Transformation-Field Implementation Support Unit (LCT-FISU). Six applications were submitted on September 5, followed by fourteen on September 9, and an additional nineteen today, September 23, all from former rebels seeking inclusion in the ongoing amnesty program.

These recent submissions add to the growing number of amnesty applications being processed nationwide by the National Amnesty Commission (NAC). As of September 21, 2024, LAB Davao has processed a total of 95 applications.

LAB Davao expressed its gratitude to OPAPRU’s LCT-FISU, led by Director Elisa D. Evangelista-LapiΓ±a, for their unwavering support in facilitating and submitting these applications.
