13 September 2024 (Cotabato City) — The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Secretariat in Cotabato City met with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Cotabato City Chapter, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Cotabato City Jail-Male Dormitory, and the Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission (BHRC) to plan the National Amnesty Commission’s (NAC) participation in a jail visitation and amnesty orientation program for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) in the city.

As a collaborative effort among various line agencies in the Bangsamoro region, LAB Cotabato will conduct an orientation on the government’s amnesty program and its application process for PDLs who are members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), Rebolusyonaryong Partido ng Manggagawa – Pilipinas/Revolutionary Proletarian Army/Alex Boncayao Brigade (RPMP-RPA-ABB), and former members of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) who have expressed interest in applying for amnesty.
