29 August 2024 (Bukidnon) -The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Cagayan de Oro City was invited to grace the “Friends Rescued” (FR) Forum held at the Headquarters of the 403rd “Peacemaker” Brigade at Camp Osito Bahian, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

The forum aims to strengthen channels for assistance and collaboration between the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the former combatants of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New Peopleโ€™s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF), as the government slowly paves the way for their productive reintegration into mainstream society. It also serves as a venue for the proper utilization of FRs as a crucial component of the command’s security campaign.

The LAB Secretariat emphasized the proper procedures for the amnesty application process, provided updates on the status of submitted applications, and addressed clarifications raised by forum participants. Informational materials were also distributed to further guide the attendees.

The forum was attended by select FRs as well as officers and staff from the different battalions under the operational control of the 403rd Brigade, which is under the command of Brigadier General Michelle Anayron. The Deputy Brigade Commander, Colonel Antonio Dulnuan, is also the AFP’s designated member for LAB CDO.
