21 August 2024 (Marawi City) – The National Amnesty Commission (NAC), through its Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Cagayan de Oro City, participated in the Verification and Socio-Economic Profiling of Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) combatants. This activity was led by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) and held at the Headquarters of the 103rd “Haribon” Brigade.
The event highlighted one of the core elements of the MNLF Transformation Program, which aims to identify areas and procedures for effectively providing relevant socio-economic assistance to combatants, their families, and their communities.
As part of the country’s transformational agenda, the NAC presented its mandate during the event. The LAB also had the opportunity to distribute information materials and address inquiries from the combatants regarding the application procedures.
A total of 161 MNLF combatants attended the gathering, which was also participated in by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Provincial Health Office (PHO), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and Philippine National Police (PNP).
