27 August 2024 (Koronadal City) — The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Cotabato City paid a courtesy visit and held a coordination meeting with Jail Chief Superintendent Leo B. Baldon, the Regional Director of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Region XII.

The discussion focused on the government’s amnesty program, amnesty applications by Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) under the detention or prison facilities of BJMP-XII, potential partnerships with the jail wardens, and providing orientation and assistance to PDLs covered by the amnesty program.

BJMP-XII assured LAB-Cotabato that they will collaborate to support PDLs covered by Presidential Proclamation Nos. 403, 404, 405, and 406, issued by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., who have expressed interest in applying for the government’s amnesty program.
