19 December, 2025 (Claveria, Misamis Oriental) β Twenty-four (24) βFriends Rescuedβ received their Safe Conduct Passes (SCPs) just in time for the Christmas holidays during a meaningful ceremony held at the Headquarters of the 58th Infantry (Dimalulupig) Battalion PA in Sitio Migbanday, Claveria, Misamis Oriental on December 19, 2025 from the Local Amnesty Board of Cagayan de Oro (LAB CDO).
Twenty-two (22) of the recipients are FRs referred by the 58IB PA, while four (4) are from the 88IB PA based in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. Both referring units are under the operational control of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division PA.
In his message, one of the recipients expressed the group’s profound appreciation for this significant opportunity to finally be reunited with their families and loved ones during this season of love and togetherness. Christmas has long been a season they have been unable to celebrate while fighting for misguided ideologies. The chance to be able to take part once more in one of Christendomβs most hallowed traditions has been one of their most cherished wishes. The SCP, a privilege given to amnesty applicants, will allow them safe passage and freedom from arrest while their applications are still being processed.
To date, LAB CDO has already released a total of two hundred eleven (211) SCPs in the areas of Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur and the CARAGA region.
Joining the significant event is 4ID PA Deputy Brigade Commander BGEN Consolito Yecla, Dept. of Agriculture 10 Regional Director Jose Apollo Pacamalan, Asst. Chief of Staff for CMO-G7 4ID PA COL Ricky Canatoy, 58IB PA Exec. Officer MAJ Keenan Arguelles, representatives from the local government units of Claveria & Balingasag, officers and personnel of the 4ID PA, as well as representatives from the media.
To culminate the extraordinary celebration of second chances, the βFriends Rescuedβ also received vital livelihood and housing assistance from the Department of Agriculture 10 and the Local Government Unitsβappropriate offerings as they embark on their transition to a life characterized by tranquility, stability, and productivity.
