14 December 2025 (Catbalogan, Samar) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Catbalogan, Samar, delivered a comprehensive lecture on the government’s Amnesty Program to over 2,000 students enrolled in the National Service Training Program (NSTP) and Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) at Samar State University (SSU).
Represented by Peace Program Officer III Jazmine Odyssa Lutao, an alumna of SSU, the LAB aimed to achieve a dual purpose: to enhance the students’ knowledge of the program and its approaching deadline, and to officially deputize them as vital peace advocates within their communities. By training these students, the initiative sought to empower them to effectively and accurately disseminate crucial information to potential applicants.
The continuous engagement by the LAB team, including weekend activities, underscores its unwavering commitment to promoting peace and ensuring the efficient implementation of the amnesty program.
