03 December, 2025 (Kampo Ranao, Marawi City) – The Local Amnesty Board of Cagayan de Oro (LAB CDO) presented the Notice of Decision to two (2) Amnesty Grantees referred by the 103rd (Haribon) Brigade of the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division PA in Kampo Ranao, Marawi City on 03 December 2025.

This came after the release of the Memorandum from the Office of the President on the Approval of the Recommendation for the Grant of Amnesty to Nine (9) Qualified Applicants last September 24, 2025. This is the first batch of amnesty grantees under Executive Order (E.O.) 47 composed of eight ( 8 ) Former Members of the CPP NPA NDF and One (1) former combatant of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). Seven (7) the approved applicants were endorsed by LAB CDO.

The grant of amnesty epitomizes the government’s sincerity in its comprehensive peace initiatives and its unwavering commitment to achieving lasting peace. It serves as a compelling testament to our aspirations for national healing and reconciliation.

In her message, LAB CDO Peace Program Officer III, Abigail Lai encouraged the recipients to β€œFocus on the impact you will have on those around you as you channel this gift into your endeavors. Let it inspire you to create a life that not only fulfills your personal aspirations but also contributes positively to your community, your country and the world”.

Joining the LAB Secretariat in presenting the Notice of Decision is 103rd Brigade Deputy Brigade Commander COL Ian Noel P. Ignes INF (MNSA) PA; CMO Officer CPT Candidato S. Panduman (INF) PA, officers and troops of the 103rd BDE and other β€œFriends Rescued” who also filed their amnesty applications after the ceremony.

This defining moment in the amnesty program is a testament to the hope that continues to shine brightly for all former rebels and combatants who bravely step forward to rewrite their stories and embrace a life of meaning and purpose.
