28 November, 2025 (Malungon, Sarangani Province) – In line with the 2nd Celebration of the Amnesty Proclamation, the Local Amnesty Board (LAB) – Koronadal convened all receiving units under the 1002nd Brigade, under the firm and strategic leadership of Brigadier General Apollo Jun F. Lamaton.

During the engagement, Ms. Mariannie B. Uy, Peace Program Officer III and LAB Secretariat Head, reiterated the approaching deadlines for the submission of amnesty applicationsβ€”March 13, 2026 for CPP-NPA-NDF applicants and March 4, 2026 for MILF and MNLF applicants. She also emphasized the National Amnesty Commission’s vision under Project 10,000 Second Chances, which aims to broaden the reach of amnesty and support more former rebels in rebuilding their lives.

LAB Koronadal likewise coordinated with the receiving units to finalize the schedules for upcoming mass intake activities, ensuring a smooth and organized processing of applications.

This collaborative effort highlights the crucial role of partner receiving units in facilitating the safe and lawful reintegration of former rebels and ensuring they receive the full support and services of the government. It also serves as a sustained encouragement for remaining members to return to the fold of the law and embrace peace.
