21 November, 2025 (Sorsogon, Bicol) β The Local Amnesty Board Albay, Bicol participated in the “Ceremonial Withdrawal of Allegiance from the CPP-NPA-NDF and Reintegration of Former Rebels to the Government” in collaboration with the Sorsogon Provincial Police Office headed by PCol. Alex C. Daniel, Provincial Director, and the Provincial Local Government Unit. Also present at the event was the Guest of Honor and Speaker, PBGEn. Nestor C. Babagay Jr., Regional Director of the Philippine National Police Region V, who represented the Acting Chief of the PNP, PLtGen. Melencio Nartatez Jr.
This activity was conducted to facilitate the unified reintegration of our friends rescued, who have received numerous benefits from various agencies such as the PLGU, DOLE, TESDA, DILG, and the Amnesty Program. Our FRs expressed their gratitude for these programs, which provide them a second chance and guide them toward becoming productive members of the community.
Mr. Philipp D. Listanco, the LAB Secretariat Head, delivered a message of support aligned with the mandate of the National Amnesty Commission to help former rebels seek forgiveness for offenses committed in pursuit of political beliefs. During the event, we received 74 amnesty applications from former CPP-NPA-NDF members, assisted by the Public Attorneyβs Office through Atty. Zamora, and honored 30 Safe Conduct Passes.
This action demonstrates the governmentβs strong commitment to achieving long-lasting peace.β
