30 October 2025 (Tacloban, Leyte) β The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Tacloban City successfully conducted its 6th Case Conference at the CCDLAO Office, Kanhuraw Hill, Tacloban City.
Present during the meeting were Col. Rico Amaro from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, PCol. Noelito Getigan from the Philippine National Police, and Atty. Ivy Ann Carba, who served as the Alternate Chairperson. Also in attendance were Atty. Rheand Cornell M. Palomino from the Public Attorneyβs Office, together with representatives from the City Legal Office, who provided valuable legal assistance to ensure that all proceedings upheld due process and fairness.
During the conference, several amnesty applications were thoroughly reviewed and deliberated upon, underscoring the Boardβs continuing commitment to justice, reconciliation, and the reintegration of former rebels into mainstream society.
The meeting was smoothly facilitated by the LAB Secretariat, led by PPO III Bhea Janine Gozo, whose coordination contributed to the orderly and productive conduct of the discussions.
This activity reaffirms the LABβs steadfast support for the National Amnesty Program, paving the way for peace, unity, and genuine healing in communities once affected by armed conflict.
