15-17 October 2025 (Catbalogan, Samar) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Catbalogan, Samar, held its three-day case conference at the Conference Room, Samar Police Provincial Office, Catbalogan City.

The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) members convened to deliberate on the applications and supporting documentation of 27 amnesty applicants. The board was presided over by Chairperson Governor Sharee Ann Tan, represented by Alternate Chairperson Ms. Golda Meir Tabao, with Vice-Chairperson Regional Prosecutor Atty. Irwin Maraya, Provincial Director Arwin Tadeo, and an alternate member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) also in attendance. The information provided by the applicants was presented for validation, followed by a formal presentation of the applicants to the board members.

Following its review, the Local Amnesty Board (LAB) approved 25 of the 27 amnesty applications, with two recommended for further investigation. The approved applications will now be forwarded to the National Amnesty Commission (NAC) Executive Committee for review and subsequently submitted to the NAC en banc for final resolution. The resolution will then be sent to the Office of the President, who holds the authority to grant or deny amnesty.
