10 October 2025 (Hinabangan, Samar) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Catbalogan City paid a courtesy visit to the new Brigade Commander, Col. Arlino L Sendaydiego, INF (GSC) PA of the 801ST Infantry Brigade located at Camp Major Eugenio S Daza, Hinabangan, Samar.

Prior to the lecture, the LAB Secretariat met with the Brigade Commander, Col. Sendaydiego, to discuss the status of the amnesty program. The said visit aims to foster a strong partnership with the 801st Infantry Brigade in accordance with Col. Sendaydiego’s statement that β€œpeace and progress are not the tasks of soldiers aloneβ€”they are shared responsibilities”. This collaboration is essential for ensuring that both military and civilian sectors work together towards sustainable development in the region.

Thereafter, Peace Program Officer III Jazmine Odyssa Lutao discussed the amnesty program with the personnel of the 801st Infantry Brigade. Afterward, Legal Officer Atty. Gelyn Diaz-Omanito discussed the crimes covered by the amnesty and the legal information about the program.

An open forum followed, allowing 801st personnel to clarify and enhance their knowledge of the program.
