10 October, 2025 (Iloilo City, Iloilo) – The National Amnesty Commission (NAC) – Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Iloilo participated in the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) and Amnesty Cluster Coordination Meeting of the Joint Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (JRTF-ELCAC) VI.
Presiding officer MGen. Rene Glen Paje (ret), serving as the Regional Adviser on Peace and Security, emphasized the importance of inter-agency discussions and collaboration on contributing efforts to support the implementation of the governmentβs amnesty program through the LABs. He also underscored the urgent need for coordination among various government agencies considering the limited time left for availing of amnesty under Proclamations Nos. 403 and 404.
Present in the meeting were Chairperson of the Justice Focus Legal Action Team (JFLAT) of the RTF-ELCAC in Western Visayas, Prosecutor II Flosemer Chris Gonzales from the Office of the Regional Prosecutor, and representatives from the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev), and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
During the meeting, Peace Program Officer II Marco Dava gave an orientation about the
governmentβs amnesty program and its procedural conduct, as well as the status of applications received in Region VI.
Toward the end, the various agencies reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the LAB and the Commission in the implementation of the amnesty program with particular focus on ensuring the reintegration of and provision of services and benefits to former rebels who wish to return to the folds of mainstream.
