01 – 02 July 2025 (Tinoc, Ifugao) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Baguio conducted an Amnesty Orientation in Tinoc, Ifugao, as part of the national government’s ongoing efforts to promote peace and facilitate the reintegration of amnesty applicants into society.

In line with the visit, courtesy calls were made to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), where the team was welcomed by Ms. Esther A. Juan, and to the Office of the Mayor, where they were received by Hon. Mayor Samson C. Benito and Executive Assistant Mr. Winifredo Guiaoan.

The orientation was conducted with the support of the MSWDO and the staff of the Tinoc Local Government Unit, the 54th Infantry Battallion of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Tinoc Municipal Police, and the 1st Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st IPMFC) of the Philippine National Police (PNP). The Oath of Allegiance was administered by Mayor Benito, with the presence and assistance of Vice Mayor Hon. Efren A. Tacio and Municipal Councilors Hon. Andres T. Jose, Hon. Melyn Apilis-Pugong, and Hon. Juliet M. Akiangan.

A total of 53 amnesty applications were processed during the activity, the highest single-day intake recorded in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), underscoring the local community’s commitment to lasting peace and reconciliation.
