03 October,2025 (Tacloban City, Leyte) β The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Tacloban City successfully conducted its 5th Conference at the CCDLAO Office, Kanhuraw Hill, Tacloban City.
Present during the meeting were Col. Rico Amaro and Maj. Nino John Paner from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), PCol. Noelito Getigan from the Philippine National Police (PNP), and Atty. Ivy Ann Carba, who served as the Alternate Chairperson. Also in attendance were Atty. Jennifer Molvizar from the Public Attorneyβs Office (PAO) and representatives from the City Legal Office, who provided valuable legal assistance to ensure that all proceedings observed due process and fairness.
During the conference, seven (7) amnesty applications were carefully deliberated, reflecting the Boardβs continued commitment to justice, reconciliation, and the reintegration of former rebels into mainstream society.
The session was smoothly facilitated by the LAB Secretariat, led by PPO III Bhea Janine Gozo, whose coordination ensured the successful conduct of the discussions.
This activity reaffirms the Local Amnesty Boardβs steadfast support for the National Amnesty Programβpaving the way for peace, unity, and genuine healing in communities once affected by armed conflict.
