26 June 2025 (Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur) β The Local Amnesty Board of Cagayan de Oro (LAB CDO), together with the Fourth Infantry βDiamondβ Division (4ID) PA Officer In-Charge on the Amnesty Program, LTC Gilbert C. Nohay GSC (AGS) PA, visits the Headquarters of the 401st βUnite Nβ Fightβ Brigade PA in Barangay Awa, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
A presentation on the Amnesty Program under E.O. 47, with a specific focus on Proclamation No. 404 : Granting Amnesty to Former Members of the CPP NPA NDF, was given to the attendees comprising of βFriends Rescuedβ (FRs) under the custody of the brigade and the battalions under its operational control. An intake activity followed the orientation, where ten (10) applications for amnesty were assessed and processed by the LAB Secretariat.
Present during the event to provide legal assistance and the administration of the Oath of the applicants is 401st BDE PA Legal Retainer Atty. Gene B. Presco and representatives from the Public Attorneyβs Office (PAO) Bayugan City.
LAB CDO also took the opportunity to pay a courtesy visit to its former LAB Member and the current Brigade Commander of the 401st BDE PA, BGEN Antonio Dulnuan Jr. An additional fifteen (15) LAB Resolutions were presented for signing prior to their transmittal to the National Amnesty Commission (NAC). These Resolutions, once signed by a majority of the LAB Members, will be forwarded to the NAC En Banc for final deliberation before their submission to the Office of the President.
This addition will bring the total number of LAB Resolutions passed by LAB CDO to the NAC En Banc at fifty-five (55) or 85% of the 65 applications that already went through a Case Conference.
The NAC remains confident in receiving more applications from former rebels and combatants who are qualified to avail of the amnesty program under EO 47, before the end of the prescription period in March 2026.
