03-05 September, 2025 (Masbate Province) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Albay, Bicol successfully carried out a three-day amnesty activity across several municipalities in Masbate, aimed at supporting the government’s peace and reconciliation efforts.

On the first day, LAB Albay held an amnesty orientation and received applications at the 2nd Infantry “Second to None” Battalion in Brgy. Panisijan, Uson, under the leadership of LTC Lazardo D. Quigao Jr. INF (GSC) PA. A total of 23 applications were processed.

The second day took place at the 96th Infantry “Alab” Battalion in Brgy. Cabitan, Mandaon, led by LTC Francis R. Espiritu, where an additional 18 amnesty applications were received. The Public Attorney’s Office of Masbate was present to assist in the legal processing and subscription of application requirements.

The activity concluded with LAB Albay’s participation in the Ceremonial Proclamation of Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) Status in the Municipality of Balud. The event was attended by representatives from various government agencies, local chief executives, uniformed personnel, and community leaders, highlighting the government’s continued commitment to fostering peace and security across the region.
