The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Cagayan de Oro City participated in the “Friends Rescued” (FR) Forum at the Kagawasan 143 Peace Center, located inside the Headquarters of the 402nd Infantry “Stingers” Brigade, 4ID PA, in Barangay Bancasi, Butuan City, on 19-20 August 2024.
The event brought together FRs from the Brigade’s various battalions with the goal of providing them with adequate technical support and assistance in their pursuit of more productive endeavors. This initiative aligns with the country’s sincere efforts for transformation and reintegration.
The LAB had the opportunity to present the basic principles of the governmentโs amnesty program and to clarify and establish the official procedures for the Amnesty Application Process in accordance with the National Amnesty Commission’s (NAC) Rules of Procedure.
This engagement aims to broaden the reach of the amnesty program and pave the way for its implementation in the CARAGA Region, as the NAC prepares to establish a new LAB in Butuan City.
Present at the event were Colonel Emil J. Cruz MNSA PA, the Deputy Brigade Commander of the 402nd BDE; Major Daryl Glenn B. Secong (INF) PA, the Brigade OIC Executive Officer; Battalion Commanders, officers, staff, and FRs.
The LAB also had a brief audience with Brigadier General Adonis Ariel G. Orio, the Brigade Commander of the 402nd BDE.
The NAC, through its LABs, remains steadfast in its commitment to the swift, efficient, inclusive, and accurate delivery of the governmentโs amnesty program throughout the Philippines.
