10 December 2025 (Mondragon, Northern Samar) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Catbalogan, Samar participated in the 803rd Brigade’s “Christmas Visit and Gift Giving to Peace Builders” event held at Kauswagan Village, Barangay Cablangan.

During the activity, FR Community Leader Mr. Reynaldo Rebay delivered a speech expressing his appreciation to all stakeholders for their continued support. A representative from LAB Catbalogan followed with remarks reiterating the deadline for other “friends rescued” (FRs) who have yet to submit their amnesty applications. She also called on those who have not yet surrendered to return to the fold of the law, surrender to the authorities, and spend the holiday season reunited with their families.

Brigadier General Carmelito Pangatungan, Brigade Commander of the 803rd Brigade, concluded the formal program with a seasonal greeting. Addressing the FRs, he stated, “We are together,” or “Upod Kita” in Waray, emphasizing their shared goal of finally ending the insurgency and attaining lasting peace in Northern Samar.

Following the program, LAB Catbalogan representatives, together with personnel from the 803rd Brigade led by BGen Pangatungan, conducted house-to-house Christmas caroling and distributed Noche Buena packages to the FRs’ families, along with school supplies for the children.
