Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Isabela City, Basilan, appeared as guests on the Basilan Talakayan radio program hosted by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Basilan Information Center aired on July 02 at DXNO Radyo Komunidad de Isabela City Basilan.
Peace Program Office III Rabia Salapuddin and Peace Program Officer II Bai Jessamine Farha Ilimin discussed the government’s amnesty program, its purpose, and benefits. They explained that individuals granted amnesty can enjoy their political and civil rights and be reintegrated into society as if they had committed no offense. They encouraged members of various groups, including the MILF, MNLF, and former members of the CPP-NPA-NDF, to avail themselves of the program.
The Basilan Talakayan is a regular program of the PIA Basilan aims to provide timely, relevant and accurate information to the general public especially to Basileños.”
