23 January, 2026 (Galimuyod, Ilocos Sur) β The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) La Union conducted an Amnesty Orientation and Application activity in Galimuyod, Ilocos Sur. The activity was carried out in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Galimuyod, headed by Mayor Jessie Balingsat, together with NICA, OPAPRU, the Galimuyod Municipal Police Office, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
A total of 37 former rebels submitted their amnesty applications during the intake. The applicants took their Oath before Atty. Hilda Bumachi of the Department of Justice.
This initiative reflects the regionβs commitment to ending insurgency and providing rescued friends the opportunity to reintegrate into society.
