24 & 26 February, 2026 (Oriental and Occidental Mindoro) β€” The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Quezon successfully conducted the second leg of its Amnesty Orientation and Intake Activities for β€œFriends Rescued” in Calapan City and Mamburao.

A total of 196 amnesty applications were received during the two-day activity. Of these, ninety (90) applications were processed in Oriental Mindoro, all duly notarized by the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) – Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro and Atty. Charlotte A. Goco of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP). In Occidental Mindoro, one hundred six (106) applications were likewise received and duly notarized by the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO)- Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro.

The successful implementation of the activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the LAB Secretariat of Quezon, the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity – Southern Luzon, the Provincial Governments of Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Offices (PSWDO) of both provinces.

The activity underscores the government’s continuing commitment to peace, reconciliation, and the reintegration of former rebels into mainstream society.
