18–20 February ,2026 (Arakan, North Cotabato) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Koronadal recently facilitated a three-day orientation and application program at the 72nd Infantry Battalion headquarters, where 143 β€˜Friends Rescued’ formally filed for amnesty.

The initiative was a collaborative effort between the LAB, the North Cotabato Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), and the 10th Infantry Division. Led by LAB Koronadal’s Peace Program Officer III Ms. Mariannie B. Uy, the sessions provided the ‘Friends Rescued’ with comprehensive guides on legal procedures and the benefits of reintegration.

Essential legal support was provided by the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP). Atty. Noreen Maglunsod-Napoles and Atty. Kevin Napoles oversaw the formal administration of documents, ensuring all 143 applications were legally compliant.

This inter-agency mission underscores the government’s commitment to a streamlined and accessible amnesty process, offering the applicants a clear path toward reconciliation and a peaceful return to mainstream society.
