20 February 2026 (Carigara, Leyte) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Tacloban, in coordination with the 93rd Infantry Battalion and 802nd Infantry Brigade, conducted an amnesty orientation and intake for 102 applicants at the Carigara Municipal Hall.

Supported by the Local Government Units of Carigara and Tacloban, the PNP, and Uswag Sinirangan Bisayas, the program was formally opened on behalf of Mayor Eduardo T. Ong Jr. Legal processing was facilitated by Atty. Grace Anne D. de Veyra-Dela Cruz of the Public Attorney’s Office, with the assistance of Atty. Mary Rose A. Tisado-Irlandez and Atty. Nicole D. Monge from the Tacloban City Legal Office.

The National Amnesty Commission (NAC) urges all eligible individuals to apply before the March 2026 deadlines to avail themselves of the government’s amnesty program and embrace the opportunity for a life free from the shadows of armed conflict.
