15-16 April 2026 (Catbalogan, Samar) β The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Catbalogan held a two-day case conference at the Conference Room of the Samar Police Provincial Office in Catbalogan City.
LAB members convened to deliberate on the applications and supporting documents of 22 amnesty applicants. The conference was presided over by Alternate Chairperson Ms. Golda Meir Tabao. In attendance were Alternate Member from the Department of Justice (DOJ), Prosecutor Ma. Luz Lampasa; Provincial Director Arwin Tadeo; and an alternate member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). During the session, the applicantsβ submitted information was presented for validation, followed by a formal presentation of the applicants to the LAB members.
The case conference resulted in the approval of 16 applications, which will be forwarded to the National Amnesty Commission (NAC) for further review and final resolution before submission to the Office of the President, which will ultimately grant or deny the amnesty applications.
