12 August 2024 (Ermita, Manila) – The National Amnesty Commission (NAC), led by Chairperson Leah Tanodra-Armamento, held a productive meeting with Department of Justice (DOJ) Undersecretaries Raul Vasquez and Jose Cadiz, Jr., along with Court Administrator Raul Villanueva. The discussion centered on the possibility of filing motions to suspend court proceedings and warrants of arrest for amnesty applicants. This collaboration aims to ensure a fair and humane process for those seeking amnesty while safeguarding their legal rights.

Also present at the meeting were Senior State Counsel Berlin Berba; Senior Deputy State Prosecutor Richard Anthony Fadullon; NAC Acting Executive Director, Atty. Adriano Catalig, Jr.; NAC Acting Director of Legal and Amnesty Operations Office, Atty. Rizal Thaddeus Acas; and NAC Lawyers, Atty. Gwendolyn Pimentel-Gana, Atty. Ma. Victoria Cardona, and Atty. Mohammad Jamalul Giducos.
